This project aims to address the escalating food crisis in the greater Los Angeles area by exploring innovative solutions. Leveraging the existing infrastructure of the Los Angeles Metro’s blue line, the project introduces a unique "rail to table" model. The project uses Pico station as a foundational element. Cargo trains will transport food and vegetables from outside the city directly to the heart of downtown, where they will be distributed to markets, restaurants, and the grow hub located on site. The grow hub is designed to accommodate the entire local population's food needs, with future plans to expand its reach to surrounding communities utilizing the metro line for further distribution.
